Pupils from Hodgson Academy had a two part conducting workshop with our conductor Helen Harrison.
The first part took place at school and Helen taught them  the basics and practised conducting a pianist. This was followed by coming to one of our rehearsals where they rehearsed Star Wars with us, learning how to use breathing, eye contact and different gestural movements to show us how they wanted us to play and enable us to play together.
